Maybe you were about to confront the mastermind behind a plot to destroy or conquer your world. Maybe you were about to set off on a new journey, and a sudden flash invades your senses. Maybe you were staring down those pesky little heroes, knowing that in a few moments your ultimate victory would be achieved. Maybe you had even just died...

...when suddenly, you find yourself in a completely different place. A place known as the Multiverse.

For those of you who have found yourself stuck here, you're not alone. The Multiverse is a collection of people and worlds sucked in from all realities, regardless of whether or not they want to be or not. To make matters even worse, those entering this strange planetary system found their powers drained to a large extent - forcing them to train themselves back to their former power level. You could just sit and mope about finding your way back home or how your powers were affected, but with such ripe lands available to you, why worry about it?

Nobody could tell you the exact story of how the Multiverse came to be - but it's there and many are now taking advantage of it. Shy Guys, the mischievous mask-wears of the Mushroom World, have established a multiversal economy and a transit system to and from every inhabitable world. Of course, there are plenty of others who would be willing to give you passage to the various worlds - both law-abiding and otherwise - for the right price. Would-be heroes, dictators and the average adventurer all have easy access to universe upon universe. Many will fail to reform the worlds, but some will get what they came for. And at the center of it all is a strange planetoid which resembles Earth's Moon, except it has been terraformed and has a magical atmosphere which allows civilization to thrive upon it; The Moon and the surrounding space have become the hub for the entire multiverse.

At one time, war consisted entirely of plain old good vs evil. However, the lines have been blurred and new factions seem form every day. Like-minded individuals have banded together to carry out their own agendas, allowing themselves strength in numbers. Some rule over entire worlds and universes with an iron fist, while some attempt to spread peace and protection to those in need of it. Some choose to stay unaffiliated, or simply align themselves with whoever has the most influence or fattest wallet.

The Multiverse can be conquered or saved.

Celestial Refresh is a video game/panfandom RPG with an emphasis on worldbuilding, character interaction, and creating, changing or destroying environments. It features a strong community of 9+ years, an engaging stat/combat system that allows anyone from space admirals to fist fighters to become an active participant in battle, and is built on the premise of player-run storylines and plots. Overarching staff-run story arcs are organized as well, but player-run content is at the forefront, and character development is king.

While starting players may only bring in characters who have appeared in at least one licensed video game, or create a fan-character who originates from a video game universe, those who stick around will be able to bring in characters from other media or even create completely original characters.
